Minor wear to extremities and spine a little sunned. Foxing largely confined to edges extending into margins, and preliminaries; otherwise a very good copy. A fine selection of English pastoral poetry from Robert Henryson and Henry Howard to John Clare and George Darley, including works by Spenser, Marlowe, Shakespeare, Jonson, Milton, Herrick, Marvell, and Pope. By Edmund Kerchever Chambers (1866-1954), writer on Shakespeare and the early English stage. First edition published 1895.
