FIRST EDITION. Large 8vo. 9.25 x 7 inches. xviii + 244 pp. Title page in red and black. Bound in quarter navy cloth, gilt, over blue boards with gilt blocks of coats of arms on front board. Rough cut edges. Extremities worn, including edges, corners and head and tail of spine, which is sunned. Some foxing of edges, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 33 engraved plates, including frontispiece and decorated title and by text figures. Descriptive and historical account of Hampton Court, including the buildings, parks and gardens, art collections and associations. By William Holden Hutton (1860-1930) who was Dean of Winchester from 1919. Illustrated with drawings by Herbert Railton (1857-1910), artist and black and white book illustrator.
