Slight sunning line on lower front board and spots on inside or rear wrapper; otherwise a very good copy, Illustrated throughout, mainly in colour, by frontispiece and by 425 text figures. Decorated by title page vignette. Pictorial endpapers. A very well illustrated history of Irish painting from 1600 to 1940. By Anne Olivia Crookshank (1927-2016), Irish academic art historian and her long time collaborator, Desmond FitzGerald, the Knight of Glin (1937-2011), President of the Irish Georgian Society from 1991.
