Spine a little sunned, but otherwise a very good copy. 1922 signature on first free endpaper. Illustrated throughout in colour, including frontispiece, 4 full page and by vignettes including title page, chapter headings and endpiece. Bee device on recto of rear second free endpaper. La Lecon bien apprise, or The Lesson Well Learned (c.1898) is a medieval morality tale set in the reign of Louis XI. A short story by Anatole France (1844-1924). Illustrated by French artist, Gustave-Adolphe Mossa (1883-1971).
