Sackett, Bull St. Birmingham. Early signature at head of title. An early history of the growth of London including chapters on the inner suburbs, based on articles which originally appeared in the columns of the Weekly Dispatch newspaper. George Rose Emerson later published The Excursionist's Map of the Environs of London (editions from 1866) and was the author of books on the fall of Sebastopol, General Gordon and Gladstone.
