Illustrated throughout in black and white and colour, including portrait frontispiece and facsimiles al paginated in text. Pictorial endpapers. Book club edition of Graham Greene's biography of John Wilmot,Second Earl of Rochester (1647-80), one of the most notorious of the Restoration rakes, but also a fine lyrical and satirical poet. It prints a manuscript written in the thirties and revised by Greene.
