FIRST EDITION. Small 8vo, in fours. 6.75 x 5.5 inches. 50 pp. + [1] pp. colophon. Bound in original maroon cloth, gilt. Uncut edges. Some wear to extremities, including board edges and head and tail of spine. Front hinge starting to crack and scattered foxing; otherwise a very good copy Decorated by exlibris device on verso of half title, by title page and colophon vignettes. Poems by Arthur Knowles Sabin (1879-1959), printed and published by himself. In 1909 he was appointed a Keeper at the Victoria and Albert Museum and 1922-40, served as curator of the Bethnal Green Museum, part of the V. and A., which he developed as a museum of childhood. A scarce first edition of this hand printed item.
