Historical novel featuring President Martin Van Buren and Ameriga Vespucci, female descendant of Amerigo Vespucci (1454-1512), Florentine explorer and navigator, after whom the new continent of the Americas was named. Scarce title by Walter Guest Kellogg (1872-1956), best known for his work, The Conscientious Objector (1919).
