Illustrated by frontispiece, by 47 plates numbered in pagination, by text figures and by title page and endpiece vignettes. Pictorial endpapers. Account of the life of the artist, Rex Whistler (1905-44), well illustrated by the drawings, by his brother, Laurence Whistler (1912-2000), poet, famous as a glass engraver. Reprint a month after the publication of the first edition.
