Large 8vo. 9.25 x 6.75 inches. viii + 1404 pp. Main text in double columns. Bound in original dark blue cloth with contrasting red title label, gilt and blind stamped medallion of author on front board. All edges red. Red endpapers. Some minor wear to extremities, but otherwise a very good copy. A late and virtually complete edition of the dramatic works of Irish playwright, George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950). It contains additional plays written since the first edition of The Complete Plays was appeared in 1934. The 1949 play, Shakes versus Shaw is the last title included, and the volume omits only Why She Would Not of 1950, not published until 1956.
