Signed by author on limited edition page at end. Illustrated by 3 tipped in plates, including frontispiece, by 7 whole page plates, both numbered in text and by facsimile signature in text and folding family tree at end. History of the Innerpeffray Library, Crieff, Perthshire, the first lending library in Scotland, from 1747, at a time when the country had a reading culture far ahead of England and much of Europe. A very attractive volume, beautifully printed, bound and illustrated by woodcuts and facsimiles, etc.
