8vo. 6.5 x 4.75 inches. 236 pp. + [2] pp. publisher's advertisement. Blank pages at front and back. All text within red borders. Bound in black limp leather, gilt, by Deane Lankshear and Co. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. Slight traces of wear on spine and light foxing of flyleaves, but otherwise a fine clean copy. 1897 gift inscription and another undated signature on verso of second free endpaper and 1907 signature on third free endpaper. Decorated by vignettes, including preliminaries. A selection of poems on religious themes by Christina Rossetti, first published by SPCK in 1893. The titles of the sections are: Out of the deep have I called unto thee O Lord; Christ our all in all; Some feasts and fasts; Gifts and graces; The world. Self-destruction; Divers worlds.
