Some wear to extremities including corners and head and tail of spine and scattered foxing; otherwise a very good copy. 1937 gift inscription on first free endpaper. Illustrated by 16 pages of black and white photographic plates, including frontispiece. An account of the author's farm located at Branden, near Sissinghurst in the Weald of Kent by Ian Davison, actor and novelist. It includes a chapter on hop picking and a few pages on smuggling activities in the Wealden area.
